
Making light buttercream with Bake Delicious
With the Bake Delicious Buttercream mix, you can quickly make a creamy, light cream that is perfect for cakes and cupcakes. The mix provides a stable structure that pipes beautifully and spreads easily, allowing you to effortlessly create a smooth cake or beautiful swirls on cupcakes. Ideal for anyone who loves to bake but doesn't want to bother with complicated proportions.
For filling cakes, frosting and piping
The buttercream is firm enough to fill and frost cakes, yet soft enough to be pleasant to eat. You can create a nice crumb coat with it and then a smooth outer layer. On cupcakes, this cream creates full, creamy swirls that hold their shape well. With one bag of mix, you can fill and frost two 20 cm cakes or provide approximately 24 cupcakes with a generous swirl.

Basic buttercream recipe
(For filling and frosting 2 x 20 cm cakes or swirls on approx. 24 cupcakes)
- 200 grams Bake Delicious buttercream mix
- 250 grams softened butter
- 325 grams water or milk
Place the butter in a bowl and beat it with a mixer with a whisk for approximately 4 minutes until it forms a light, creamy mass. In a separate bowl, mix the buttercream mix with the water or milk and add this mixture to the whipped butter. Beat everything for another 10 minutes on the highest setting until a smooth, light cream is formed.
Variation with less butter
- 275 grams Bake Delicious buttercream mix
- 250 grams butter
- 450 grams water or milk
Prepare the buttercream in the same way as in the basic recipe. This variation has a slightly lighter structure and contains less fat, but remains easy to pipe.
Varying with flavours
With Bake Delicious buttercream, you can vary endlessly. In the last minute of beating, add food colouring, cocoa powder, flavour paste or fruit aroma. This way you can easily make your own vanilla, chocolate, lemon or strawberry buttercream that perfectly matches your cake or cupcakes.
