How to Make Royal Icing
(Basic Recipe)
- 500 grams Bake Delicious Royal Icing mix
- 70 grams water
First, gently mix the mix and water for 1 minute. Then, use a stand mixer to whip the icing until light and fluffy. Mix for approximately 5 minutes on high speed until a firm, white mass forms. A hand mixer can also do this, but the icing is quite heavy, which could shorten the lifespan of a hand mixer. Stirring by hand does not incorporate enough air for good icing and is therefore not recommended.
Store the icing covered in the refrigerator to prevent it from drying out.
