Strak fondant begint met een goede smoother. Deze Straight Edge van PME is een rechthoekige polijster met een afgeronde bovenkant, waarmee je fondant en marsepein glad strijkt. Je gebruikt hem al tijdens het uitrollen, en daarna nog een keer op de taart of het koekje voor een mooi strak eindresultaat.

Met zijn rechte zijkant is hij ook fijn om randen netjes aan te zetten. Het formaat (15,5 x 7,8 cm) ligt lekker in de hand. Eén ding om te onthouden: niet in de vaatwasser, gewoon even met de hand afspoelen. Meer decoreerhulpjes vind je bij onze tools.

Hoe strijk je fondant strak met een smoother?

Niet wrijven maar glijden: met lichte, gelijkmatige druk krijg je het mooiste resultaat.

  • Glijd in rustige banen over je fondant en werk luchtbelletjes naar de rand toe.
  • Gebruik de rechte zijkant om randen en hoeken netjes aan te drukken.
  • Ook handig bij het uitrollen: even nastrijken en je fondant ligt egaal.
