Een sneeuwbol die je niet hoeft te schudden maar mag verven. Paint Your Own stencils zijn hét excuus om eindelijk met je eten te mogen spelen. Dit is een PYO-stencil: jij zet het patroon van de sneeuwbol in royal icing op je koekje, laat het goed uitharden, en daarna verven de kids of je gasten hem zelf in met eetbare verf of eetbare stiften. Elk koekje wordt zo zijn eigen sneeuwbol.

Voor de kerstvakantie is dit een fijne bezigheid: activiteit en traktatie in een. Verpak het koekje samen met een kwastje en een klein zelfgemaakt verfpaletje en je hebt meteen een origineel kerstcadeautje. De stencil is 14 x 14 cm en past in standaard stencilhouders. Hoe maak je een paint your own koekje?

Breng het patroon met royal icing en een schraper aan op een volledig uitgeharde ondergrond en laat het goed drogen. Daarna kan er geverfd worden: een kwastje, een druppel water en eetbare kleurstof is alles wat je nodig hebt.

Zo gebruik je de stencil:

  1. Voorzie je koekje van een egale laag royal icing en laat die minimaal een nacht uitharden.
  2. Leg de stencil plat op het koekje, het liefst in een stencilhouder.
  3. Breng een dun laagje icing aan met een spatel.
  4. Schraap het overtollige icing in een vloeiende beweging weg.
  5. Til de stencil recht omhoog voor een strak resultaat.
  • Gebruik een stencilhouder om de stencil stil te houden, dan komen ook de fijne details van de sneeuwbol strak op je koekje.
  • Schoonmaken: spoel de stencil af onder lauwwarm water zonder zeep en dep hem droog met een zachte doek. Niet wrijven.
